  • Is there event security?
    At entry into the facility, police officer or security personnel may ask to check your bags.  All bags and people are subject to search at entry and any time during the show.  Rigorous safety measures are being taken to assure our guests that they can enjoy an incredible live performance free from concerns for their safety. 

    Police Officers and event staff constantly walk the venue.  We encourage guests to notify police or staff at any time should there be a safety concern or issue. Remember “If You See Something, Say Something.”

  • Can I bring my own chair?
    Standard-sized camp chairs are permitted in the general lawn area and general seating only.  However, to ensure all guests have the best show experience, blankets (no larger than 5′ x 6′) are recommended and encouraged in the general lawn area.
  • Can I stand during concerts?
    Standing is not discouraged at The AMP.  Guests are encouraged to be mindful of those around you and behind you and do the right thing so everyone can enjoy the show from their location.  The AMP staff will monitor and be available to address any concerns such as these.
  • Can I Smoke/Vape during the show?
    Illinois law heavily regulates outdoor venues and public health when it comes to crowded areas.  Smoking and vaping is prohibited in all seated areas.  A designated smoking and vaping areas are designated for this purpose.  See the site map for location.
  • Are restrooms available?
    Yes.  Restrooms are available for all guests. Each restroom has a baby changing station as well.  In addition, portable units may be available on site. 
  • What time should I get to the amphitheater?
    Allow ample time to park, walk to venue and for security screening. Gates open 60 minutes prior to the start of the show, unless otherwise noted.
  • Entry Gate Lines, Will Call/Prepurchase Lines.
    • For the fastest moving lines at The AMP we encourage our guests to prepurchase tickets before the show.  Prepurchase is available up to the start of the first performance (6:30pm to 7pm).  It’s simple and fast and gets you into the venue to pick your area and enjoy the show.
    • Once you enter you will be provided a colored wrist band.  All seating is general admission and first come - first serve (unless otherwise blocked off in the venue).  All guests are required to always wear their wristbands during the show.  Concessionaires will not serve guests without admission wristbands. Guests without wristbands will be asked to purchase one or be escorted out of the venue.
  • Do you have a lost and found?
    If you believe you left or lost an item at an event held at The AMP, you may contact Sherman Village Hall at (217) 496-2621. The AMP is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • What happens if it rains/storms and the show is cancelled?
    All purchases are final.  No refunds will be given. If possible, we will make every attempt to reschedule the performance.
