SHERMAN EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS GUIDE

Released: 6/1/2010

THE VILLAGE OF SHERMAN

Your Personal Emergency Preparedness Guide

72 hours…   Is Your Family Prepared?

Emergencies occur quickly and without notice.  That is why being prepared is imperative.  As residents of central Illinois, we confront weather-related events such as flooding, tornadoes and extreme heat and cold.  We must also prepare ourselves for man-made disasters such as transportation accidents with hazardous materials, power blackouts and acts of terrorism.

Homeland security begins at home and work. The Sherman Emergency Management Agency created this emergency preparedness guide to prepare yourself and family in the event of a natural or man-made emergency.  While the Village continues to work on emergency planning, it is the responsibility of each citizen to take informed steps to prepare their homes, businesses and families to cope with any disaster to the best of their ability.

We encourage your use of this guide.  Click on the link below to obtain a copy of the Guide.
