Sherman Athletic Club 75th Celebration
SHERMAN/WILLIAMSVILLE – The Sherman Athletic Club (SAC) is excited to announce its 75th Anniversary. The Club is proud that for over 75 years the Sherman Athletic Club has been a part of the Sherman Community supporting in many ways. Our history of prior hosting of the Sherman Homecoming, sponsoring softball games, supporting local youth wrestling shows the Club’s mission to better our community and help support youth sports.
On May 20th, the Club will be celebrating the 75th with a short recognition ceremony and a concert featuring local group, Fun DMC. The concert will be from 7:00pm to 10:00pm at the SAC, 300 South 1st Street in Sherman. Beer, Mixed drinks, and food will be available. The concert is open to the public with an entry fee of $10. Food/drink and concert tickets will be sold the night of the event. In addition, the Club will be offering 50/50 drawings to help raise funds for continued growth of our organization.
“With the help of our great SAC members, we are proud to host a fun night at our softball field with music, drinks, and good times. We are excited to grow our membership and involvement with the community. 75 years is quite the accomplishment, and we plan to be continue contributing to the community for another 75 years,” said Sean Bull, Sherman Athletic Club’s president.
As part of the celebration, the SAC challenge the Village of Sherman Trustees, police officers, and public works crew to a friendly but competitive softball game.
